About the role
Whilst we'd love you to have extensive experience in Reception, we believe that attitude is everything. Positivity, enthusiasm, and a solution-based mind-set is what we value most.
Steamatic works primarily in the insurance industry, managing a wide variety of jobs/claims including water, fire, and mould damage. So the Reception role is both interesting, and varied.
We hire based on the following criteria (in this order):

- High level of Reception experience preferred, but not essential. As we know we can train the right person.

Key responsibilities include:
- Answering all incoming phone calls.
- Liaising with key stakeholders and clients to ensure important information is passed on.
- Outbound calls to customers to keep them updated when required.
- Monitoring our company email inbox.
- Dealing with customers needs in a professional and empathetic manner.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Experience preferred but not essential. (ATTITUDE BEATS EXPERIENCE)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications including Excel, Word and Outlook is essential
- An excellent phone manner, along with clear and concise communication
- Have a bright, positive and proactive manner
- Excellent data entry skills, with good attention to detail
- The ability to work with a sense of urgency
- A reliable and enthusiastic work ethic
- Capacity to work independently, and in a team
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence
- Must be an Australian resident to apply
