The RoleOur Melbourne studio is looking for a highly motivated part-time Receptionist + Studio Assistant to join our team.
- Part-time role, but offering flexibility (full-time can be negotiated for the right candidate)
- Minimum hours - 8:30am - 3:00pm excluding lunch break (hours negotiable)
- Based in our Melbourne CBD studio
As the initial point of contact for our visitors, clients, and staff, the role of Receptionist is pivotal in shaping our organization's first impressions.

This role requires an individual who can thrive in autonomy, but also integrate into our administrative team to support various ad hoc tasks as required.
Main Duties/Responsibilities- Front of House: first point of contact for visitors and staff enquiries.
- Reception: Operating digital telephone system, distributing messages, couriers/mail.
- Meeting Rooms: Calendar management, coordination, basic understanding of AV systems, and ensuring rooms are stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Minor administration duties (data entry, maintaining registers, and processing of standard forms).
- Catering: Ordering, coordination and food and beverage handling.
- Ensuring office spaces stocked, clean and tidy (including kitchen + coffee machine)
- Errands (post office, banking + general).
- Office supplies (stock checking/restocking).
- Ad-hoc tasks as required (in line with candidates' skills).
- Manage staff equipment loans (laptops, cameras).
- Book Studio maintenance as per schedule.
Skills and Experience
Qualifications
- Qualifications in hospitality or office administration – preferred.
- 2 years in an office environment and/or relevant experience is required.
- Previous experience in an architecture/ design environment is an advantage.
- Familiarity with a digital phone system.
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Legal right to work in Australia.
- Ability to work Monday – Friday.
- Work from our Melbourne CBD office.
- Ensure office is always clean and presentable.
- Welcome visitors to the office in a warm and professional manner.
- Complete administration tasks on time.
