YHA Sydney Harbourour gateway property is currently seeking a Receptionist/Food & Beverage Attendant to join the team on a casual basis. In this busy and varied role, you will be utilising your amazing customer service skills to provide our members with the best experience whilst at the reception desk as well as supporting our cafe and rooftop bar. You will be motivated and hardworking with the “can-do attitude” which will see you thrive in the role.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Providing excellent customer service to property guests and contributing to the property's friendly and cheerful atmosphere.
- Answering guest queries and providing helpful local knowledge and recommendations.
- Preparing/serving of coffee, food and drinks including taking orders.
- Operating a point-of-sale terminal and EFTPOS machine.
- Maintaining service area to food safety standards.
- Ensuring property rules are adhered to and harmony is maintained.
- Resolving any guest concerns or disputes and escalating to relevant management when appropriate.
- Previous experience in front desk reception or customer service and accommodation industry.
- Demonstrated experience in food & Beverage either as a barista or bartender, or a willingness to learn.
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification
- Excellent attention to detail & ability to follow instructions
