Job Description
We are seeking a Network and Systems Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position based at our office in Clayton, VIC.
Salary: $80,000 + superannuation.
The role of Network and Systems Engineer is essential in ensuring the reliability and security of our technological infrastructure, which supports our business operations and customer service.
Website and online store management
Ensure our e-commerce platform operates smoothly, managing customer orders, payments, and product browsing.
Monitor and maintain website performance to prevent downtime.
Receive and prepare customer orders from various e-commerce platforms.
Send customer orders using a third-party tool connected to different carrier platforms.
Data security
Implement and manage security measures to protect customer information and company data.
Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and respond to potential security threats.
Inventory management systems
Maintain and optimise inventory management systems to keep accurate stock records.
Ensure integration between sales, inventory, and ordering processes.
Technical support
Diagnose hardware and software issues, including computer systems, printers, network devices, and other peripherals.
Install and configure operating systems and software applications.
Provide technical support across the company and facilitate training for new staff.
Respond to service issues and requests in a timely manner.
Repair and replace equipment as necessary.
Internal systems management
Oversee the company’s internal Network and computer systems, ensuring they are functioning efficiently.
Perform regular maintenance and updates on all systems.
Test and set up desktops, micro-computers, small form factor, and workstations.
Support continuous improvement
Test new and ongoing equipment, including software applications.
Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues quickly to minimise disruption.
Continuously improve system performance and scalability to meet business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a closely related field
At least 2 years of experience in Network and Systems Engineering, with knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and security.
