Full time – Recreational Activities Officer
St Charbel’s Care Centre dedicated to servicing the ageing population. Established in 2019, SCCC is passionate about delivering exceptional service to its consumers and providing care that is above and beyond. SCCC is an integral part of the Maronite Community within Western Sydney and SCCC aims to allow consumers to retain their active role within their community.
We are currently seeking an experienced Recreational Activities Officer (RAO) to join our team. Reporting directly to the Care Manager. The RAO role is responsible for motivating residents towards emotional and physical rehabilitation through activities that promote psychological, social and physical wellbeing. This role is central to ensuring safe and effective lifestyle services are being provided to residents whilst upholding St Charbel Care Centre’s Vision, Mission, Values and Philosophy in line with the Australian Aged Care and Quality Standards.

About the role:
- Provide personalised encouragement and support to residents through carefully planned activities that reflect kindness, care, and respect.
- Design and implement activities in individual and group settings, customised to cater to residents' unique preferences and requirements.
- Deliver top-quality care in alignment with the Australian Aged Care and Quality Standards
- Assist residents in meeting their recreational needs while always upholding their privacy and dignity.
- Foster meaningful connections with families, staff, and volunteers, creating an atmosphere of rapport and collaboration.
- Safeguard residents' rights and consistently uphold their privacy and dignity throughout their care journey.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of residents' information, demonstrating the highest level of professional discretion.
- Complete necessary documentation
Essential
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in similar role
- National Criminal Record Check
- An ability to uphold St Charbel’s Vison, Mission, Values and Philosophy
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Demonstrated experience working in a highly regulated environment and experience working in an Aged Care
Desirable:
- Spoken Arabic is highly regarded to assist with residents, families, and visitors' liaison.
- Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure and/or equivalent
