Job DescriptionReporting in to the DC/Warehouse Supervisor the
Recycling Assistant is responsible for daily DC waste management and operations, including; separation and disposal of cardboard, plastic, and foam, and general waste, with a continual focus on Safety, Quality, Sustainability and Team. The
Recycling Assistant will operate and align with company values.
- Sort plastic, cardboard, and foam waste
- Use tools and machinery
- Perform manual labor
- Palletize waste for collection
- Clean and maintain areas
- Report machinery issues promptly
- Notify manager when full or ready for collection
- Ensure safety compliance
- Build relationships with stakeholders
- Support teamwork and continuous improvement
- Maintain DC cleanliness
- Assist with ad hoc tasks
Qualifications- A true passion for sustainability & recycling
- Exposure to industrial factory environments
- Experience in waste management and recycling industries
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Flexibility to work shifts as needed
- Commitment to long-term work
- A positive, can-do attitude!
- Reliable and hardworking
- Experience working in fast-paced environments
