Grade 5
SALARY:
$28.57 to $31.43 per hour + 11% employer contribution to superannuation
Plus 5% Trade allowance in addition to your Annual Salary
REPORTING TO:
Leading Hand Recycling and Processing
EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Permanent Part Time
THE POSITION:
To assist in all aspects of the operation of the Albury Recycling Centre.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the coordination of an orderly approach to the sorting of recycling and rubbish disposal by providing a high level of customer service and guidance to customers and visitors.
  • Operate and perform preventative maintenance on small plant located in accordance with the manufacturers' requirements, licence conditions, Work Cover regulations and council policies and procedure.
  • Assist contractors in the pickup of materials for recycling.
  • Segregate and package recycling materials for transport offsite.
  • Direct and supervise waste disposal by the public and contractors.
  • Daily maintenance of the Domestic General Waste Pit and assist in litter control as required.
  • Assist, monitor and maintain reuse and recycling area.
  • Use relevant skills to assist in other areas of Resource Recovery.
  • Perform other tasks or duties as directed by Supervisor, Leading Hand or senior staff which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence, and training.
  • Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
  • Observe appropriate AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding day-to-day operations including Equal Employment Opportunity policies, Albury City's Dress Code and Standards Policy and Albury City's Code of Conduct.
