Beaumont&Beaumont is pleased to present an opportunity for an APS5 Contact Officers to join an exciting and rewarding team in a major Commonwealth Government Department.
The successful candidates will maintain duties equivalent to an APS 5, including making first contact with applicants in a potentially vicariously traumatic environment. Among other duties, you will be required to work directly with applicants, ensure callers' needs and requirements are met, and escalate matters where necessary.
The key duties of the position include:
- Provide inbound/ outbound telephony support to applicants, their nominees and other callers.
- Resolve routine and non-routine enquiries; where necessary collaborating with other teams within the Scheme
- Resolve routine and non-routine complaints; where necessary escalating complex complaints and/or systemic issues
- Assist callers to access, navigate or interpret services across a range of programs and services
As the successful candidate, you will have extensive experience in a 'front-end' or client facing role. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities, including communicating in a culturally competent manner will be highly regarded.
All applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance from an Australian vetting agency.
