A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You'll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.
As part of the team, you'll help with budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting, shared services and financing.

As an Associate, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Assists with developing annual budget timeline and instructions
Creates and updates budget templates in accordance with the firm's standard operating procedures
Compiles and examines budget submissions for completeness, accuracy, and conformance to the firm's best practices
Uploads submitted budgets into the financial system
Prepares functional and territory budget summaries and confirms details with budget owners/ territory leaders
Researches, compiles, verifies and analyses budget and financial data to assist leadership with decision-making
Submits annual budget information to PwC Global as a part of the Network Reporting Requirements
Submits monthly operating statement to PwC Global and addresses any related queries
Submits forecast information to PwC Global and addresses any related queries
Submits any other financial reports requested by Pwc Global
Assists in the preparation of presentations for distribution to key stakeholders (including the CEO and Board)
Assists with developing training materials and conducts training for financial system users and budget end-users
Coordinates the annual review and update of scale and resource rates
Performs the monthly scale rate checks and investigates any discrepancies found
Submits requests to HC and the Backend team to correct any scale rate errors found

Any other ad-hoc tasks as necessary
Capabilities / Skills Required:

Maintains ongoing communication with supervisor, informing him/her of all pertinent problems, irregularities, new developments, changes and other important information within area of responsibility

Assists key stakeholders with inquiries, requests, and/or problems in a friendly, respectful, courteous, and professional manner
Possess general understanding of financial reports and has an understanding of accounting fundamentals
Basic analytical and reconciliation skills

Works well under pressure and can coordinate multiple tasks under a fast paced work environment

Ability to work independently and in teams
Capable of analysing situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action
Strong analytical skills and the ability to gather, analyse, and interpret financial data to prepare financial statements, perform financial analysis, and make sound financial recommendations
Strong systems and technical knowledge, including advanced skills in Microsoft Suite of tools including Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Teams
Knowledge of Alteryx and Power Bi would be an asset
Minimum years experience required
Minimum qualification requirement is an Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a financial analyst role
Preference given to experience in financial accounting
