St John WA is currently seeking a talented Regional Finance Officer to join a hardworking team in a challenging and supportive environment. This position is Permanent Full-time role working Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm for 37.5 hours based in Northam and working throughout the Wheatbelt region of WA.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Regional Finance Coordinator and will be responsible for ensuring the accurate entry of financial data for Volunteer Sub Centres across the region and preparing reports, analysis, and other transactions for the accounting function of the Sub Centres and the Regional Office.
What you will do:
- Provide assistance to non-financial staff in the preparation of accounting data and accounting related functions.
- Respond to all calls and queries from Volunteer Sub-Centre treasurers and Volunteer Admin Officers in a timely and effective manner.
- Visit volunteer Sub-Centres and treasurers with the region, at least annually, to present and discuss Sub Centre Financial Position.
- Prepare financial reports for Volunteer Sub Centres, including specific First Aid Reporting, Cash Flow and Profit and Loss Reports.
- Conduct Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks for Volunteer Sub Centres.
- Assist Regional Finance Coordinator with month end processing and financial/audit queries.
- Ad-hoc analysis and project support to Regional Finance Coordinator and Regional Team.
What you will need:
- Ability to work with volunteers.
- Ability to prioritise and time manage.
- High degree of attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced skill in MS Office Suite
- Experience in a similar role
- Cert IV in Bookkeeping or similar (Desirable but not essential)
