With the Australian operation expanding & due to a recent restructure, they are currently looking for a hands on and commercially focused Regional Supply Chain Head to drive the operations. Based in Sydney’s CBD, this is a great opportunity for a senior Supply Chain professional to join a business that forecasts significant growth over the next 5 years and beyond.
The Role:
Partnering the local MD, you will lead the Supply department of the region to achieve operational, financial and business goals. Your mandate will be to drive best-practice and excellence across supply, demand, distribution, procurement, and customer service. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement Supply Chain strategic initiatives aligned with the overall business goals .
- Manage the Supply Chain for fully imported finished products from multiple global factories
- Manage complexity with high number of SKU’s distributed to multiple channels of distribution (store and distribution centres)
- Collaborate with cross functional teams such as marketing, sales and or finance to align supply strategies with wider business goals.
- Analyse data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee and manage local distribution centres & relating budget
- Provide a warehouse working environment that meets national and corporate standards of safety and wellbeing.
- Lead teams to manage inventory levels and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Build relationships with third party suppliers so that they are productive and cost effective.
- Reporting & feedback to the Regional Leadership Team on supply metrics, opportunities/risks and team performance
- Partner with other business leaders to make key financial deadlines (Forecasts, R&O, budgets) and present findings
- Drive a Supply culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Develop, empower, coach and mentor direct reports and be a positive influence to the wider Supply team
- Utilise your networking, negotiation and influence skills to provide a voice for the region
- Evaluate and recommend investments in technology, capital, equipment, systems to enhance productivity.
You will be technically strong with commercial nous, have a strong presence and be an exceptional team player and people leader. Also displaying:
- Experience in a FMCG or Consumer goods company ideally with a high SKU count
- A Degree in Business, Logistics or Economics
- Experience using large ERP/MRP systems coupled with developed Excel Skills
- Outstanding management, leadership, influencing and team building skills
