The Organisation

Child Australia is an early childhood education and care organisation providing services throughout Western Australia and Northern Territory regions. Working collaboratively with children, their parents, families, early childhood professionals and the local community, we aim to develop and expand the education and care that children receive within their first years of life.

Child Australia is regarded as a leading authority on capacity building within the early to middle childhood sector, through providing professional development, information, online training, and a wealth of professional resources.

The Opportunity

As the Regional Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial sustainability, compliance, and growth of Child Australia's service delivery. Your leadership will drive results across key areas, including quality improvement through service delivery, relationship management, strategic positioning, business development, compliance, and people development.

Key role responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee service delivery operations, ensuring quality and compliance with National Quality Standards
  • Mitigating risks through focusing on quality practice improvement across all services
  • Establish and nurture stakeholder relationships to drive strategic positioning and business development
  • Mentor and develop staff, fostering a positive team culture and supporting their professional growth
  • Participate in budget preparation, financial monitoring, and effective resource utilisation
  • Represent the organisation positively across all internal and external interactions

Selection Criteria:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (early childhood/education/training/management).
  • Minimum of 5 years of successful leadership experience with the management of multiple sites an advantage
  • Strong planning, budgeting, and time management skills
  • Positive outlook with a collaborative and team-oriented focus
  • Experience in service delivery leadership across Education and Care settings
  • Demonstrated awareness of the Early Childhood Sector and contemporary ECEC policy, practices and compliance
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Highly developed team management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage remote staff and ensure compliance
  • Experience or demonstrated understanding of the not-for-profit sector
