About the Role
We are seeking a Regional Practice Lead to manage and lead our Child Youth and Family Foster Care program within the to lead our multi-disciplinary team and drive quality outcomes for children, young people, their families, and carers in the Toowoomba region.
In this role, you will support and work within the framework of organisational program initiatives while managing a multi-disciplinary permanency support team by providing practice advice and support.
To succeed in this role, you will effectively provide local leadership by coordinating and facilitating quality and safeguarding systems and processes, while guiding the team to achieve business plan objectives.
This position is being offered as a Full-Time fixed term contract (ending 15/03/2025 and possibly becoming permanent thereafter) and is based at our office in Toowoomba.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and support to a multi-disciplinary team
- Guide and support the implementation of quality carer assessments, supervision, supports, and reviews.
- Work cooperatively with the Central Enquiry Team to manage carer engagement, recruitment, supervision, and support.
- Embed the CARE approach locally by leading a multi-disciplinary service delivery team to promote continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Provide input into the development of new programs and practice initiatives.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in child protection/out-of-home care services/family support and preservation.
- Demonstrated experience working with and using evidence-informed practice models across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in providing professional development through clinical supervision, training, coaching, and monitoring
- Proficient in best practice CARE and TCI Implementation
- Experience working in a culturally sensitive manner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and a willingness to work and train in culturally appropriate approaches
Essential Requirements
- A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology or a relevant human service area
- Working knowledge of relevant QLD legislative and regulatory environment for areas of business responsibility
- Experience in recruitment, assessment, supervision, and support of foster carers.
- Current unrestricted driver's licence
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
