OPPORTUNITY
Due to growth of the business, our client is seeking a Regional Sales Manager (VIC, TAS, SA) responsible for the continued growth and development of the business. Managing a tight team of four executives across Sales & Administration, you'll drive sales & margin growth through the implementation of a sales management plan, while also managing key corporate accounts along the way. The position will require up to 1.5 weeks of travel per month, potentially less as you tenure in the role and the team continues to grow.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets within the assigned region.
- Lead and motivate sales team to achieve performance goals and objectives.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, dealerships, and stakeholders.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Manage Regional Sales budget and expenses to optimize profitability.

- Attractive base salary between $120,000 - $140,000 plus super
- Earn performance bonuses of up to $30,000 p.a.

CANDIDATE
In order to be considered for this role, prior Management experience is essential. You need to have experience as a People Manager, ideally in Sales but we would look at other functions too.
In addition, you'll bring with you one or more of the following career experiences:
- You have existing business-to-business (B2B) sales experience in the automotive sector; if you've sold to automotive merchant resellers event better (not essential). Products you might have previously sold include; passenger vehicles, buses, trucks, trailers, transport equipment, engine parts, vehicle body parts, tyres, oils, fluids, filtration, batteries, lighting, audio, auto-electrical, wiring, rims, wheels and connectors (not to mention some of the equipment listed above)
- You have a prior trade background as an Automotive Electrician, Mechanic or Fitter, with previous hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting and maintaining some of the aforementioned equipment AND you have an interest in moving into sales
- You have experience working for a retailer in a store environment selling similar equipment to the general public and occasional trade customers. You must have an interest in moving into external sales and have a general understand of some of the product categories listed above
- You have B2B sales experience in ANY industry and are a car enthusiast; you keep up to date with the latest technology and vehicle electronics; you may even install or maintain your own vehicle in your own time.
