- Evaluate requirement for contracts based on expected value of spend, nature of service or material, security of supply, market conditions, duration, safety concerns, risks etc.
- Managing risk by obtaining appropriate insurance certificates, evaluating safety data of contractors, compliance with environmental requirements etc.
- Negotiate contract price adjustment in such a way to maintain long term sustainable contractor and company relationships, while securing optimum prices for the company.
- Monitors market trends and conditions. Responsible for evaluating requirement for contracts with suppliers based on expected value of spend, nature of service or material, security of supply, market conditions, duration, safety concerns, risks etc.
- Actively works with Suppliers to onboard and utilise all Tronox systems
- Draft commercially sound contract documents to ensure that the company receives optimum competitive advantage, suffers minimum risk, minimize loss and include continuous improvement objectives.
- Work closely with end users to refine and incorporate Scope of Work into commercial agreements.
- Create and maintain contracts in Contract Management System (Coupa) and ensure accurate and sufficient records of contracts and the tender processes are retained.
- Ensure procurement savings are identified, targets achieved, tracked and reported.
- Support the implementation of process and system enhancements to continuously improve the contract management process.
- Knowledge of Contract Law
- Prefer knowledge or experience in Coupa or equivalent Contract Management Systems
- Prefer experience in procurement, supply, contracts, category management
- Prefer experience in a mining and/or manufacturing environment
- Experience in contracts for Logistics, Engineering Service and MRO Goods/Service
- Experienced across all Microsoft office applications
- SAP 4 Hana - Advantageous
- Knowledge of Coupa Sourcing or Ariba
- Contracts management/administration
- Data interpretation and analysis
- Financial acumen
- Knowledge of procurement processes and related legislation and standards
- Negotiation skills
