Regional Supply Manager

Our client is a leader in their field of food manufacturing. They have a long history of supplying quality products into the homes of Australians via the major retailers. This exciting opportunity will see you ensure competitive, secure, and high-quality supply lines of raw material and ingredients to not only meet customer expectations and financial targets but optimise margins and enhance customer satisfaction.

In this role you will be required to:
• Conduct supplier contract negotiations to secure competitive procurement programs and agreements.
• Review purchases and supply sources from local and overseas markets, developing alternative options.
• Ensure adherence to purchasing objectives
• Monitor supplier performance against contract requirements
• Assess crop performance throughout its lifecycle, including germination rates etc.
• Perform pre-harvest and grading assessments
• Develop and implement plans to enhance supplier performance and capabilities.
• Create monitoring programs for stored materials when applicable.
• Ensure suppliers comply with food safety requirements.

The successful candidate will:
• Possess experience in an agronomy background, with a formal qualification an advantage
• Have expert communication skills at all levels.
• Cultivate constructive relationships with essential stakeholders.
• Possess a thorough understanding of supply chain performance drivers and the ability to execute strategies effectively.
• Demonstrate experience in achieving commercial results within operational environments.
• Be capable of fostering collaborative relationships and driving accountability with suppliers to enhance business value.
• Possess a proven track record in commercial supplier negotiations and supplier relationship management roles.

Please not this role will require travel to rural areas and at times, potential weekend work.
