We're seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring efficiency and compliance while maintaining high-quality standards. Your responsibilities include working with the procurement team to facilitate the import, manufacturing, storage, logistics and regulatory compliance across a range of products, whilst driving continuous improvement and innovation to align with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics and Storage Coordination: Manage domestic and international logistics, including importation of temperature controlled scheduled medicine, optimising transportation routes modes to ensure timely delivery and identifying the most cost effective storage solutions for goods.
- Import Permit Management: Prepare and submit scheduled narcotic import permits in adherence to regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Document Management: Digitally file all relevant import documentation on the server for easy access and reference.
- Communication and Coordination: Keep the team informed about ETAs on imports and product arrivals, facilitating seamless coordination across departments.
- Product Launch Support: Assist in product launch planning by managing timelines and initiating the launch process, ensuring smooth execution.
- Inventory and Manufacturing Management: Organise raw materials for third-party facilities, such as laboratories and packaging, to produce final finished goods meeting pharmaceutical GMP standards.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Collaborate closely with new and existing suppliers to ensure the smooth and consistent supply of products including ensuring all relevant documentation is completed and updated, updating suppliers on any changes or issues with compliance and ensuring all products are delivered on time, on budget & are compliant.
- Purchase Order Handling: Create and send purchase orders for new product orders domestically and internationally, optimising procurement processes.
- Quality and Compliance Assurance: Ensure product quality and compliance with regulations, managing import permit tracking, CoA guidelines, and product testing arrangements. Please note: the product being a scheduled medicine is also required to be handled and stored under strict security SOP’s.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Assist in the development of standard operating procedures.
- Inventory Management Software: Assist in the roll out of the new software (Zoho).
- Forecasting and Stock Optimisation: Forecast product demand and manage in-house and third-party warehouse stock, proactively identifying and addressing expiring stock while avoiding out-of-stock situations. Please note: managing third party stock levels and liaising with those clients will also be required.
- Transportation Optimisation: Engage with cost-effective freight providers and consolidate loads to reduce lead times and freight costs, balancing efficiency, and savings.
- Reporting and Analytics: Provide regular reports and dashboards on inventory, supplier performance, cost of goods, forecasted purchase orders, and lead times to support decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, logistics, project management or a related field.
- Proven experience in Supply Chain management, preferably in a logistics, manufacturing, import/export or project management environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in inventory management software, preferably Zoho and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and import/export procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
