Brunswick Private Hospital has been providing rehabilitation, medical, mental health, and outpatient services to the local community since 2009, whilst commencing our inpatient and day patient mental health services to complement our existing programs, offering our community access to a wide variety of holistic services.

Focussed on delivering great outcomes to our patients, our friendly clinical and non-clinical teams work together to deliver holistic care in a multidisciplinary approach. The Hospital has monthly staff lunches and a “Love Your Work” program to recognise staff for their hard work and efforts.
We are located conveniently located in Brunswick, close to the popular locations of Lygon Street and Sydney Road, and easily accessible local public transport links or car.
Opportunities exists for suitable motivated individuals to join our expanding permanent and casual pool providing nursing care to our medical and rehabilitation patients.
We have four inpatients units including:
- East Ward – Trauma and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
- Davies Ward – Neurological, Pain and Oncology Rehabilitation
- South Ward – Inpatient mental health service
The role of Nurse will focus on:
- Provision of direct patient care to patients undergoing rehabilitation at Brunswick Private Hospital
- To be a resource and role model for provision of oncology-based /Ortho/Cardiac/Pulmonary rehabilitation and to work with the multidisciplinary team to develop and enhance the program
- Develop learning resources and packages with the multidisciplinary team to support our internal team
- Develop strong relationships with our community including General Practitioners, Oncologists, Surgeons and the wider community
- Working alongside the multidisciplinary team to raise the profile and promotion of Brunswick’s oncology rehabilitation program to the wide healthcare community (ie: conferences, society, international opportunities)
Essential Criteria
- Registered / Enrolled Nurse: A degree in Nursing (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution/training organisation
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of 12-months post-registration experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with staff, patients and their families
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a Private Hospital setting
- FIM training (or an understanding of FIM assessments)
