Are you an experienced and passionate midwife looking for a thrilling new opportunity? Centenary Hospital for Women and Children (CHWC) in Canberra is expanding its maternity services. 

CHWC is a level 6 tertiary center providing specialized maternity, neonatology, and pediatric services for the ACT and surrounding regional areas. Annually cater to approximately 3800 women, delivering top-notch care through their Continuity of Midwifery Care program.

The Role: 

Canberra are seeking suitably qualified Registered Midwives Level 2 with an interest in providing clinical leadership in their midwifery-led Continuity of Care program. As a case load midwife, you will provide Continuity of midwifery care during the antenatal, birth, and postnatal periods, working in the community, women’s homes, and within CHWC. There’s also the exciting option to provide homebirth for interested midwives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate clinical leadership and expertise in midwifery-led Continuity of Care.
• Co-ordinate and provide advanced midwifery-led Continuity of Care in accordance with relevant guidelines and legislation.
• Promote midwives as valuable experts within the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and quality activities to foster excellence in midwifery care.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and lead in continuing education, reflective practice, and supervision of new clinical staff.
