The Registered Midwife (RM) - Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) is an exciting opportunity to transition to caseload practice for a dynamic midwife (Identified) wanting to move into this practice context in a safe and supported way.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Fundamental knowledge and practice in the application of evidenced based clinical management, diagnostic investigation and pharmacological management of women across the continuum of pregnancy, birth and the post-natal period.
- Demonstrate communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult, liaise and negotiate with hospital and community health providers within the Torres Cape Hospital and Health Service and beyond.
- Commitment to develop advanced level of personal and professional efficacy whereby practice is structured in a caseload midwifery model and enhanced by autonomy and accountability.
- Base comprising salary between $80,342.00 - $103,053.00 per annum + 35% Annualised Salary Loading

- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and/or registration/endorsement with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to commencement of clinical duties. Current registration with the Australian Health Practice Registration Authority (APHRA) as a registered midwife and current practising certificate is mandatory.
