As a Registered Midwife, you will provide care and support to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Your role will be focused on promoting the health and well-being of both the mother and the baby. Duties include:
- The provision of prenatal care
- Assisting in labour and delivery
- Caring for mothers and babies during the postpartum period
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as obstetricians, pediatricians, and nurses, to ensure comprehensive care
You will be living in Regional Victoria, comprising of various landscapes and geographical features. It includes coastal areas along the Great Ocean Road, picturesque mountain ranges like the Grampians and the Victorian Alps, fertile agricultural regions, and historic gold rush towns. The region boasts stunning natural beauty and attracts tourists with its diverse range of attractions and activities. The area offers opportunities for outdoor pursuits such as bushwalking, fishing, cycling, and camping. There are also many historical sites, museums, art galleries, and local festivals celebrating the region's heritage and culture.
To be eligible for the position, you must have the following:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife, with no restrictions
- Experience in midwifery
- National Crime Check or willingness to obtain
- Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain
- Up to date immunisations (including COVID and seasonal influenza)
