What You'll Do
As an Onsite Construction Specialist (24-month Fixed Term Contract & multiple positions available), You will be responsible for all field validation and construction activities, maintaining an up-to-date program status and ensure all projects align with defined schedules. You will assist in ensuring the framework for Risk and Compliance is in place to meet the requirements for specific programs of work. Using auditing skills, you will undertake field inspections using appropriate systems and report on your findings. You will analyse data, investigate trending issues and analyse root cause to develop compliance improvements. You will ensure network damages, faults, outages and customer complaints are appropriately managed through to effective resolution. The role will be heavily field based with travel expected to support the construction activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Field monitoring of specific programs of works schedules to endure planned deliverable dates are continually met or exceeded.
- Conduct Health, Safety Environment and Quality audits.
- Assist HS&E consultants with incident investigations, implement findings and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist in the development of frameworks to support various risk and compliance elements across the group.
- Drive ongoing operational performance and continual improvement.
- Promoting HSE compliance, quality assurance and risk management to ensure that a rigorous risk review process is adhered to.
- Participate in cross-functional teams supporting the design, development and deployment of analysis and programs of work to deliver business improvements.
- Sound knowledge of best practice approaches to Compliance and Risk operations and concept.
- Proven ability to implement business objectives through measurable and actionable plans.
- Contribute to the preparation of presentation packs to stakeholders as required.
- Contribute to process and system development to ensure the company's evolving corporate objectives are met.
- Report back to program management teams on construction progress and raise any productivity blockers with Internal/external stakeholders.
- Ability to work with virtual teams in remote locations for extended periods of time.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have the following experience and qualifications:
Essential
- Demonstrated experience working in Fibre Construction
- Strong financial and business planning skills with demonstrated commercial and financial acumen
- Ability to manage complex problems across large, diverse teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated complex and strategic problem solving skills
- Skills in conflict resolution and leadership
- High level of attention to detail
- Knowledge of relevant HS&E obligations and legislation
- Understanding of Access Networks
- Proven experience and knowledge of telecommunications construction
- Ability to travel for up to 3 week periods at a time
- Current driver's licence
