The Registered Nurse:
- Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
Duties:
- Nursing Care
- In collaboration with members of the healthcare team plan, implement and evaluates patient/client care.
- Practice in accordance with the NMBA codes and guidelines for Registered Nurses and midwives.
- Involve patients/clients and their families/significant others in the planning and implementation of care.
- Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of a safe work environment.
- Understand and adhere to relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and objective documentation.
- Teamwork
- Interact effectively with patients’/clients’ families and other health team members to facilitate the provision of optimum patient/client care.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a strong team approach through open communication and a positive supportive approach.
- Actively contribute to the communication process, including attending and participating in team meetings.
- Excellence in Practice
- Active involvement in maintaining and continually improving the quality of patient/client care. This may include participation in research and evidence based practice.
- Contribute to the review and development of innovative procedures, policies and best practice related to patient/client care.
- Participate in the development and revision of documentation relating to nursing based best practice in the defined practice area.
- In partnership with the patient/client, plan care to provide agreed patient/client outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing strategies towards meeting anticipated patient/client outcomes.
Details of Appointment
Fixed term, full time and part time shift work (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 3 August 2024.

Salary $69,835 - $96,428 per annum + Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount + access to salary packaging
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
- This position attracts a 6.5% correctional allowance on top of the salaried amount

- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $90,293 - $96,428 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award
Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
