Mater Private Hospital is currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our medical ward 8 South. This ward has a keen focus on patient experience and host's a range of patients including Medical, Cardiac and Respiratory. This opportunity is a permanent position, and we are open to considering RN's who are looking for part-time (0.8) to full time hours.
You will be able to work a mixture of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts, and it is a requirement that you are available to work mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends.
Salary range: $40.27 - $51.74 (Registered Nurse Level 1) per hour plus superannuation and salary packaging
What you'll be doing
Joining a busy department that is led by a passionate and innovative Nursing Manager who strongly encourages professional development. Whilst maintaining the highest level of clinical standards for the unit you will be responsible for:
- Delivery of exceptional patient care, demonstrating a level of skill in clinical decision making and hands-on caregiving for a range of acute cardiac, vascular and medical conditions (including post intervention)
- Deliver appropriate and accurate application of clinical assessment procedures to evaluate medical health status to identify and apply timely care intervention for best patient outcomes
- Team leading when required
- Implementing strategies to ensure that quality and risk management are integrated into service provision
- Maintaining current knowledge and skills to ensure continued professional growth
- Working with and supporting colleagues within a highly effective skilled team environment
- Demonstrating a capacity to adapt to innovative models of care and service provision
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Current AHPRA nursing registration as a Registered Nurse (no restrictions)
- Considerable demonstrated experience in an acute medical ward
- Proven clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of nursing care
- Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care outcomes
- Knowledge and commitment to continuous improvement of health care and nursing practice
