Cost Controller

With award of several metro and remote projects across Western Australia it is an exciting time to join NRW Civil and Mining. We now have opportunities for experienced Cost Controllers/Cost Engineers to join our Civil division.We have several roles available within the metro focused infrastructure and the regionally based resources lines of business. These roles are key within project performance management; and being able to understand project metrics and the ability to articulate trends and analysis is essential. The understanding of contract valuation in a contracting environment is also a major focal point.The positions will be responsible for; but not limited to:

• Preparing the monthly contract valuation report
• Preparing and delivering accurate forecasts to completion of project
• Preparing monthly progress claim
• Project cost analysis
• Preparing monthly accruals
• Reviewing subcontractor and supplier invoices
• Building reports using internal reporting tools to assist engineering and commercial teams
• Administer site cost coding function
• Assisting Contract Administrators in preparing quantum of claims
• Manage project cost commitments

To be considered for the positions, the following is preferred by way of skills and experience:

• Relevant experience as a Cost Controller or similar position in the Civil and/or Mining sectors
• Good understanding of earthmoving and mining plant
• An understanding of estimating is desirable
• Highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Accurate data entry skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Candidates with Prism experience will be highly regarded
