The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and upholding the highest standards of nursing practice.
Role Description
You will be responsible for providing clients with high quality support and care that addresses individual needs, and enhances independence, abilities, community participation and/or quality of life in support of the client’s individual goals and aspirations. This may include assisting in the following areas:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs.
- Contributes to the formulation of care plans/clinical pathways.
- Contribute to the health education of patients to maintain and promote health.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- Bachelor of Nursing of equivalent.
- Experience working in aged care, disability, or community nursing (preferred)
- Clean, reliable car with comprehensive motor insurance
- Access to a smartphone for work purposes
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Caring nature, professional approach and passion for aged care and disability
