Legacy is a not-for-profit organisation. Our aged care facility is dedicated to providing outstanding care to members of our community. We are a 49-bed facility, making us one of the smaller facilities in our area, which allows us to ensure personal and genuine, quality care.

Position Information - 

We currently have an opportunity available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our wonderful team. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to help make a difference in elderly people’s lives.

This position will be on a casual basis – Permanent hours may be considered for the right candidate. 

The shifts will vary with a mix of days, evenings, nights and weekends when required. 

Key responsibilities will include -

• Experience in supporting care teams to provide exceptional care to our residents 
• Demonstrated skills in assessments, care planning and documentation
• Experience in leading various teams and providing effective direction
• Sound knowledge of wound & pressure area management and falls prevention strategies
• Safe and correct administration of medication.

What we require -

• Current AHPRA Nursing registration 
• Display empathy, sensitivity, discretion, and kindness. 
• Demonstrated ability to operate professionally in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Australian National Aged Care Classification funding model (AN-ACC) desirable
• Experience in Aged Care desirable
• Available for shift work (including weekends when required)
• Current NDIS Workers Check or willing to undertake NDIS Workers Check 
• Evidence of right to work in Australia.
