Collar Group is currently hiring passionate Registered Nurses to join our aged care travel nursing team.
What is travel nursing?
- Providing Clinical care & excellence for residents in regional or remote Aged Care facilities
- Accommodation and travel included/paid for
- Generous pay & penalty rates
- Staggered starts throughout Jan, Feb, March and beyond
- Minimum 4 Week Contracts 8-12 preferable
- Away from home for the duration of contract
- Choose how long you have off between assignments where you can relax or pick up some local work (flexible)
- Willingness to travel within QLD
- Flexible to work AM/PM/Nights & rotating rosters
- Willingness to consider shared accommodation. Shared amenities, own room (female only accommodation available)
What do you I need to have?
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Current AHPRA Registration in Australia as a RN
- COVID Vaccination (including at least one booster)
- Flu Vaccination
- First aid & CPR
- 6 months minimum full-time experience of working in Aged Care as an RN in Australia
- Experience as nurse in charge and/or working in regional locations
- Current Police Check (under 12 months old)
- NDIS Clearance or willingness to obtain
- Reliable vehicle & full driving license or happy to take public transport to assignment (including flying)
- Clinical nurses, CNC's, CNS's care coordinators, care managers & clinical facility managers also encouraged to apply
What will you be doing?
- Clinical care of residents in residential Aged Care facilities / retirement villages
- Documentation of vital signs, medication administration and resident assessments
- Assisting with meal consumption and monitoring nutrition.
- Family and resident education
- Infection control and prevention
- Palliative care, restorative care and pain management
- Assisting in admission and easing the transition for residents and their families
- Liaising with residents’ family, doctors, and allied health professionals
