Opportunity to join the clinical team at Lerwin, a Residential Aged Care home proudly owned and operated by the Rural City of Murray Bridge and has been serving the local community and surrounding areas for nearly 40 years. Lewin has recently undergone an expansion and refurbishment project increasing the number from 75 beds to 80 beds, this investment has improved access to residential Aged Care in Murray Bridge and ensure that modern, resident centred support is there for local older people.
As the new Registered Nurse, you have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated Nurses and Carers to provide holistic, high-quality care and services to residents and families. This means providing clinical care ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. You will work closely with the lifestyle and carer team to achieve the delivery of competent and professional services to the residents of Lerwin in accordance with statutory obligations and contemporary standards of care.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Provide clinical care to Aged Care residents across all care domains.
- Complete the assessment, planning, implementation, updating and evaluation of individual care to maximise choice and quality of life for residents
- Liaise with doctors, paramedics, resident families/representatives as required.
- Understand and promote to all staff the requirements for Compulsory Reporting, Mandatory training, and general training as a means in providing quality care to the residents.
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Nursing and current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Comprehensive clinical knowledge of the ageing process and health
- Proven clinical competencies with excellent clinical analysis, interpretation, and assessment skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team in the delivery of person-centred care and support.
- Sound understanding of care assessment and provision within the Aged sector. Including SIRS.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
