The Registered Nurse & Midwife Role
You will assist with the provision of professional, high quality patient care within the Naracoorte Hospital working across Midwifery and Acute nursing. Assessing individual patient needs, you will plan, implement or coordinate appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options.
You will also provide health education, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve the health outcomes of individual patients or groups. It is expected that you will provide support and guidance to newer or less experienced staff, Enrolled Nurses, student nurses and other workers providing basic nursing/midwifery care.
Consolidating your knowledge and skills, you will develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships with all members of the health care team. Make a real difference and feel like an important part of the community.
Must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

This is a multiple positions part time vacancy, hours to be negotiated and salary will be adjusted according to actual hours worked.

Our facility includes 39 public beds, six day surgery beds, two operating theatres, same day and overnight stay, specialist consulting rooms, youth health, plus a residential aged care unit in Moreton Bay House that accommodates 11 State-funded aged care beds and 30 Commonwealth aged care beds.
