- We have an exciting permanent opportunity for you to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred Child and Family Health nursing care to vulnerable families who are clients of the Whole Family Team with the aim to achieve optimal health outcomes for families.
- The role is supported primarily by the Child & Family Health CNS2, the Child & Family Health Clinician group, the Health Services Manager and also, by members of the multidisciplinary team – this includes Visiting medical officers, General Practitioners, Registered Nurses, and other Nursing and allied health care staff.
- The role is also supported by the Warialda Nursing Educator.

- The role is co-located at the Warialda and Bingara Multipurpose Services.
- The service provides 2 days at each site per week.
- The MPS’s both employ approximately 70 employees supporting 10 acute inpatient beds, 2 Emergency Department treatment beds, 15 residential aged residents and also provides pathology and radiology services.
- A wide range of community and allied health services such as Physio, Speech, Audio, Dietetics and community health nursing are provided.

- Warialda is an attractive small town with a population of 1300, it is one of the major towns of the Gwydir Shire in north-western NSW.
- It is situated 602 km north of Sydney and 320 m above sea-level on a tributary creek of the Gwydir River.
- Warialda is 190 km north of Tamworth along the Fossickers Way, and 62 km north-west of Inverell or 82km east of Moree via the Gwydir Highway.
- Steeped in history and surrounded by lush bushland, natural wonders and boasting interesting personalities,
- It is nestled amid hills, majestic trees and bush scrubland that are a delight to residents, visitors and nature lovers alike.
- Bingara is a historic gold and diamond mining town set in the Gwydir River Valley, and is a popular destination for outdoor adventures, including fossicking and fishing.
- Bingara is just under a 7-hour drive from Sydney, 5-and-a-half hours from Brisbane, and just over 90 minutes from Glen Innes.
- You will have the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team whilst simultaneously developing partnerships with other health services and external agencies.
- You will also have an awareness of current issues and policies relating to, and demonstrated sensitivity when working with vulnerable and disadvantaged families in the community.

- Registered Nurse eligible for or has registration with AHPRA with (or working towards) post-graduate qualifications in Child and Family Health Nursing.
