The role:
- Nursing Care: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate health care in collaboration with individuals/groups, families and communities.
- Teamwork: Interact effectively with clients’ families and other professionals to facilitate the provision of optimum child-centred health care.

The team:
- The Child Health and Parenting Service is the key provider of Primary Healthcare services to Tasmanian Families with children under 5.
- CHaPS is a nurse-led, multidisciplinary team, partnering with families to improve childhood outcomes and enhance parenting confidence and capacity.
- CHaPS provides dedicated professional development sessions, clinical supervision, ongoing opportunities for mentoring and routine 1:1 contact with line managers to support staff development and wellbeing.
Details of Appointment
Multiple Fixed term, full time and part time, day worker positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2025

Location: Hobart, Tasmania
Salary: $75,902 to $102,908 per annum. Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023
Eligibility:
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Current Working with Children Registration
- Current Driver’s Licence

- Holds a recognised Child and Family Health nursing qualification, or is working towards same
The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:
