About the role
Carealot is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Clinical team in and around Albany, WA, based out of our Great Southern Office.
You will provide effective consumer-centred clinical nursing care through assessment, review, and provision of clinical advice and services to meet identified needs.
You can help as directed in the development of client care plans, health assessments and the implementation of all health initiatives in the community.
About you
Essential
- Experience in Wound Care.
- Proven experience in working effectively in a team environment.
- Philosophical and practical commitment to supporting frail aged and people with disabilities to promote and maintain their independence and to remain at home, in the community.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently; is flexible in dealing with changing priorities and able to manage competing demands.
- Well-developed customer relationship skills and a commitment to providing quality services and implementing continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate an ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the workplace.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a team, recognising when matters require referral to the Clinical Team Leader.
- Knowledge of the diverse physical, social, emotional, and cultural needs of older people living in the community
- Knowledge of and demonstrated commitment to the principles and practices of Equal Opportunity Employment, Work Health and Safety, Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation, and other relevant legislation.
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- Actively participate in education and training requirements
- Current national police clearance no older than 3 months old or willing to obtain.
- C class driver’s license. Work vehicle provided during working hours.
Desirable
- Recent qualifications or accreditation in nursing sub-specialties including continence management and wound management.
- Experience in Catheter Insertion (SPC & IDC)
- Willingness to undertake appropriate vocational and personal development programs to maintain knowledge and skills.
- Post registration experience working in the Aged Care or Community Services sectors.
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Standards
- Knowledge of current issues relating to the aged and disability care industry
