About You
- Current Authority to Practice from AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with minimum 12 months Acute Mental Health Experience.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in undertaking acute Mental Health assessments. Including Mental Health triage, mental state examination, accurate risk identification and crisis interventions.
- You are able to work a 24 hour/7 day rotating roster.
- You have highly developed communication skills and can liaise with multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
What you'll be doing / Where you’ll be working
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide consultation and conduct clinical Mental Health assessments and review acute Mental Health clients presenting to the Emergency Departments (ED) or within the PECC, in conjunction with the ED MHT Clinical Nurse Consultants, Psychiatric Contact Liaison service (CL), ED and medical teams, the Mental Health Line (MHL), the Acute Care Team, Mental Health Inpatient Units and other community Mental Health Teams.
The ED MHT RN accepts and triages referrals received from the ED, community Mental Health services and the Mental Health Telephone Access Line (MHTAL). The ED MHT RN provides support to the CCLHD Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC) staff.
