Where you'll be workingHKH Emergency Department is a newly commissioned combined Adult / Paediatric Emergency Department with an amazing team of Clinical NUM’s, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Educators, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Registered and Enrolled Nursing staff.HKH Emergency Department is also seeking Paediatric Emergency DepartmentRegistered Nurses to work specifically in our busy, growing Paediatric Emergency Department area.
What you'll be doing
As a Registered Nurse you will be working in a busy Emergency Department, caring for Adult and Paediatric patients across a wide spectrum of trauma, surgical, medical and mental health presentations. This is a challenging and rewarding role supported by a structured training pathway designed on an individual basis by the ED CNE.
The NSLHD Nursing and Midwifery Workforce will be compassionate, competent, confident, contemporary, capable and committed to leading person-centred health care.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
- Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Acute hospital experience with current clinical knowledge and clinical problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
