Registered Nurse Grade 2 – Avoca Nursing Home

Permanent Part Time or Full Time – up to 80 hours per fortnight available

Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 2

Award: Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2020 - 2024

This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join the aged care team at the Avoca Campus in a permanent position. Our ideal applicant is passionate about aged care, demonstrates an ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team and has excellent communication.  Providing resident centred care with strong community connections working with qualified registered staff.

We are looking for someone with the following qualities:

• Experience in Aged Care Nursing preferred
• Knowledge of Aged Care Accreditation and ACFI viewed favourably
• Patient-centred care
• Professional Communication and people skills
• Basic Life Support Certificate

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Qualifications:

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions.

Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

• Sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation
• Ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
• Excellent organisational skills particularly with respect to time management
• Well-developed interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and computer skills at the level required to fulfil the role.
