Position Title: Registered Nurse (Maternity Leave Coverage) – K9 - Gosford
This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from Maternity Leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks’ notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for Maternity Leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered Nurse seeking an exciting opportunity to make a difference in patient care? Gosford Hospital invites applications for a temporary position to cover Maternity Leave in our dynamic and supportive healthcare team.
Primary Purpose
The Registered Nurse role is to deliver comprehensive and high-quality patient care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and Nurses Standards of Practice. This involves practicing within the seven standards outlined in the Registered Nurses Standards of Practice, undertaking clinical interventions, coordinating seamless health care, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation in electronic systems. Operating within a collaborative care model, the nurse effectively communicates with patients, carers, and healthcare team members to support positive health outcomes that meet the individual needs of our patients/clients.
About You

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Recent clinical experience in the position speciality and commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and sound written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
