- Part-Time position Monday - Friday with some on call arrangements
About you:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. Provide key information about the role. You will be a Registered Nurse with an interest in theatre and specifically orthopaedic nursing. This is a Part-Time position Monday - Friday with some on call arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Orthopaedic speciality support to the Theatre staff and VMO's which includes problem solving, strategic thinking, consultation and escalation as appropriate.
- Provide education and support to staff within the complex, whilst supporting your Clinical Nurse Manager in the daily running of the Theatre complex.
- As a holder of a speciality you will be a valuable resource for both the Clinical Nurse Manager and staff in the orthopaedic field
What you bring
- Relevant experience in the Perioperative field with at least 2 years experience and an interest in Orthopaedic surgery.
- AHPRA Registration
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
- Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
