We have a current opening for a Registered Nurse role with one of our esteemed clients, offering an immediate start at an Aged Care facility in Yamba, Kingscliff, Nambucca Heads, Lismore and Gonnellabah.

Our client, a well-established and leading Aged Care provider, is dedicated to providing outstanding care and support to its residents. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to play a pivotal role in implementing their innovative, person-centered care approach and leading the care delivery.

As a Registered Nurse, your primary responsibility will be delivering comprehensive nursing care to residents within the facility. This will involve assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating their care needs. Our client is excited to welcome an experienced Registered Nurse to their team, offering both full-time and part-time positions.

Roles and Responsibilities of the RN:

  • Deliver exceptional care to residents, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Collaborate within a diverse team to provide best-practice clinical care that caters to residents' needs and well-being.
  • Lead and inspire the care team in delivering high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Manage the creation, implementation, and review of customized care plans and assessments.
  • Maintain accurate care documentation while assisting the Clinical Care Manager with ACFI assessments and Commonwealth Standards.
  • Ensure safe administration of medications, excellent wound care practices, and clinical support in alignment with resident requirements and legal mandates.
  • Comply with all relevant processes, policies, legislative requirements, and quality standards.
Qualifications and Experience:

To excel in this role, you must possess current AHPRA registration and previous experience in staff leadership, staff management, and overseeing clinical care for residents.

Additionally, you should have a minimum of one year of post-basic or post-graduate nursing experience, strong clinical documentation skills, and the proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and within a team setting.

As a motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse, you must exhibit excellent communication skills and the capacity to cultivate positive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, residents, and their families. You should also hold current First Aid & CPR and Manual Handling certification or be willing to obtain a current National Police Clearance.

Pay and salary packaging

To reward the important work of our nurses, we pay above award and higher rates than many other aged care and health care providers.

Base rate of $51.15 +

As a not-for-profit organisation, we also offer salary packaging. A portion of your pre-tax income is allocated to the payment of certain expenses such as mortgage, rent, petrol, groceries or insurances, and also entertainment purchases such as meals out, taxi fares, holiday accommodation and car hire.
As a part-time or full-time employee of my client, you don’t have to pay tax on the following:

  • Up to $15,900 per annum ($611.54 per fortnight) from your salary for everyday purchases.
  • Up to $2,650 from your salary for entertainment purchases.
  • Personal or work parking fees, with no dollar limit (please note that most of our aged care services offer free parking for employees).
  • Other benefits for employees living in remote areas.
The fortnightly benefit from salary packaging is an extra $210.00 in your take home pay. This is because you can salary package items before paying tax, therefore reducing the amount of tax you pay.  To earn the same amount in an organisation that doesn’t offer salary packaging, you would need to be paid an hourly rate of $50.00

Aged care offers regular shifts instead of the rotating shifts in a hospital environment, which helps you to balance work and home life. We can also offer part-time hours and flexible start/finish times.

Our Home and Community Care nurses work autonomously, visiting and caring for clients in their home and providing guidance and coaching to non-clinical team members. We partner with the University of Wollongong on the Registered Nurses Graduate program to guide newly graduated nurses in their first year of clinical practice through mentorship, professional development and specialist education.

We also offer a Clinical Excellence Program, a flexible learning approach to enhancing care skills and clinical practice to improve outcomes for older people.
The program is taken over a 12-month period and consists of over 60 hours of professional development (CPD points).
