You are an experienced BDM or sales manager, who has worked with defence and/or aerospace companies in providing manufacturing solutions such as fabrication, machining and assembly.
About you:
- 5+ years previous Business Development or sales experience gained in the manufacturing industry
- Experienced in dealing with defence customers
- A skilled communicator and negotiator
- A positive attitude, self-motivated and determined
- Excellent change management skills
- Enjoys 'rolling sleeves up' and being 'hands-on'
- Well presented with an excellent grasp of the english language (verbal & written)
- A team player who can think laterally and work independently as required
- Ability to travel locally and overseas when required
- Developing new business opportunities with a focus on defence and aerospace
- Developing and implementing strategies for opportunities through new and existing customers
- Providing monthly reports and a business plan
- Customer relationship management
- Financials such as budgeting
- Staying abreast of the competition and analysing opportunities
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders
- Travelling locally and overseas as necessary
- Reporting to the General Manager
