This is a rare opportunity to join the team at the NSW Refugee Health Service. Working primarily with people seeking asylum you will be responsible for coordinating weekly clinics and associated follow-up at RHS Liverpool and occasional clinics at Auburn and Blacktown. You will be supported by senior experienced clinicians, our CNC and allied health staff. We are a small but dynamic team with flexible work place arrangements and a commitment to professional development and clinical supervision.What You'll be Doing

  • Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality
  • Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
  • Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  • Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  • Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to social justice, and to the issues of access and equity in health
  • Must possess a valid Australian Drivers Licence (excluding learner driver's licences). If not already in possession, a NSW Drivers Licence must be obtained within 3 months of appointment
