An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse to join the Oncology/Palliative Care Ward at a private hospital in Sydney. It is a permanent full-time position.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a member of the medical team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assessing, planning, and coordinating the care delivery needs of the patients with the support and guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse, and Shift Leaders to ensure a high level of quality service is provided to the patients;
- Delivering education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs;
- Leading successful quality improvement and safety management projects to deliver desired outcomes;
- Working collaboratively with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs;
- Acting as a role model for Safe Practice;
- Current registration with AHPRA;
- At least 2 years of experience working in a large medical/surgical hospital;
- Previous experience in Oncology and Palliative Care;
- Ability to assess, plan, coordinate and evaluate care delivery needs of patients;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills;
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities.

$34.43 - $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.
