About the roleApplications are now open for the positon of Registered Nurse, Opioid Treatment Program in Dubbo and Regions.
The position will contribute to the safe and high quality provision of Opioid Treatment pharmacotherapies and case management within a therapeutic milieu, in a non- judgmental manner, to opioid dependent persons. It will also provide support to the community, generalist health professionals and general practitioners.
The Registered Nurse – Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) is an integral member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team responsible for providing nursing care to patients and clients of the health service; leading and supervising other nurses (including Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing), and collaborating with physicians and other care roles in your team to coordinate and deliver safe, high quality, patient-centred care. This role is pivotal in liaising with General Practitioners and community Pharmacists to facilitate pathways for clients on OTP across Dubbo and Region. The positon provides specialist consultancy, education and support across the public sector.
