“My Care Circle” is a "Service for One". We are not a traditional service provider but a bespoke NDIS participant family owned 24/7 service to a single client. The client is a 24 year old young man. who requires a 2:1 continuous care service. There is a Registered Nurse / Paramedic and Support worker on each shift. The Team will consist of 12 staff plus 2 Team Leader positions. No running between clients for a few hours here and there. We believe the client will only get the stable sustainable service he requires if staff are treated well and paid competitively. There are 340 hours a week of support to be provided to the client.
About the Role
We are currently recruiting casual RN's / Paramedics to back-fill sick leave, emergent leave and rec leave etc.
You will be paid above award wages to provide in home and community access supports so that the client can live his best life between his seizures. You will take the lead clinical role during seizures. You will be trained in seizure management and to implement the clients Positive Behaviour Support Plan (no restrictive practice). The Team will have access to a vehicle to transport the client into the community. You will also apart from your clinical role assist in the running of the clients home including cooking, cleaning and gardening tasks as part of a Team of 14. The service is a continuous 24/7 model of care so the role involves working with your Team members to deliver this service without gaps in service. Flexibility and the ability to swap your shifts with others in your Team will give you and your team members lifestyle flexibility within the set roster. About You
You will have a Bachelor of Nursing or Paramedicine Degree and be APHRA registered. You will have a compassionate and caring nature with the intent to make a difference in a young mans life. You will be a Team Player who shows commitment to fulfilling the shifts you are employed to perform in a manner that displays honesty, integrity, initiative and proactivity. You will have excellent written and communication skills and a willingness to learn on the job and through training opportunities that will be offered. Experience in airway management and / or seizure management is highly valued but not mandatory as you will be trained to the clients specific needs. Lived disability experience is also valued.
