An excellent opportunity is now available for Registered Nurses to join the team in Perioperative Care. These roles are located at Nepean Hospital in a Permanent Full time or Part time position.Nepean Operating Theatres provide a variety of services to the local community including :
- Obstetric/ Gynae surgical Services
- Orthopaedic Services
- Neurosurgery services
- Urology Surgery services
- Ear Nose and Throat surgical services
- Plastic Surgery
- Vascular Surgery
- Thoracic Surgery
- Colorectal/Upper GI surgical services.
The Operating Theatres also provide a 24/7 emergency surgery service. The role of the
Registered Nurse will involve the setting up of operating theatres for their daily surgical lists including equipment, instrumentation and consumables and liaising with the surgical team.This is an opportunity to join the NBMLHD team so apply today!An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.

Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Minimum 12 months Post graduate Operating Theatre scrub scout experience in multiple specialties
- Strong computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems including Powerchart, EMR and Surginet.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of NSW health policy directives and Australian college of operating room nurses (ACORN) standards and their application to Peri-operative nursing practice.
- Demonstrated commitment to person centred care and NSE CORE values.
- Demonstrated high level of verbal and non-verbal communication skills including knowledge of Outlook, Word and Microsoft TEAMS.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team within a busy acute unit.
