Registered Nurse G2 – Radiology
Permanent Part Time Position commencing 29th April 2024

About the Role
Radiology Nursing is a diverse role, supporting both inpatient and outpatient streams who are undergoing medical imaging, diagnostic interventional procedures/recovery and sesta-mibi cardiac stress testing.
The Radiology Department culture is very positive and team orientated. It is supportive of new staff looking to be part of our team and has senior experienced clinicians to help with the transition.
Our team is proficient in managing complex patients undergoing a wide range of outpatient and inpatient interventional procedures, stress tests and medical imaging. We encompass a multidisciplinary approach with the aim to achieve the best outcome possible. Professional development is supported for both clinical skills and career progression. There are Centre for Education opportunities for both of these and external courses are also welcomed. We support undergraduate students and Registered Nurses that are part of the casual workforce.
We are a Monday to Friday Department with an on call component and have a roster that allows flexibility to meet personal commitments. With the expansion of the Radiology Department to our Offsite Sebastopol Facility we are rostering our nursing workforce on a rotational basis between Sebastopol and the Drummond Street Campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to utilise sound and contemporary knowledge of nursing practice
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated proactive approach to problem solving and conflict resolution
- Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to build and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to use Information Communications Technology including Microsoft Office and applications relevant to the position
- Recent acute experience in nursing
- Radiology Nursing experience an advantage
- Cannulation competency or willing to complete prior to commencement
- Cardiac Rhythm recognition and willing to work towards Advanced Life Support Competency to facilitate Cardiac Stress testing.
- Current registration with APHRA

- Essential : Do you currently have Intravenous Cannulation Competency? or willing to complete prior to commencement.
- Essential : Do you currently hold a Advanced Life Support Certification? or willing to work towards
- Desirable : Do you have cardiac stress testing experience? If so, please detail your experience.
- Essential : Have you received three doses of a COVID19 vaccine? If no, please provide further detail regarding doses received, booking dates and/or other relevant information.
- Essential : The successful candidate must hold, or be prepared to undergo, an employee Working with Children Check (WWCC). Please advise if you currently hold an employee WWCC, if not are you willing to undergo one?
