The role: Strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals. The hospital: The George Town District Hospital and Community Services provide 15 acute care beds, physiotherapy, dental and podiatry services, and other visiting providers. Other services provided by the Hospital include Palliative care, Community Nursing, Home Help/Personal Care. Nursing quarters are available, co-located on site for staff to utilise with shared kitchen and bathroom amenities. George Town Hospital is approximately a 35-minute drive from Launceston, George Town Hospital is centrally located, close to supermarkets/eateries and a five-minute drive to the beaches of Low Head. Details of Appointment Fixed term, casual, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for a period of 24 months. Salary: $75,902 - $102,908 pro rata per annum 11% superannuation  access to salary packaging Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
