About the Opportunity
The Respiratory Ward at Liverpool Hospital is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team.
We are looking for a candidate with acute care experience (experience in Respiratory Medicine will be highly regarded), who can effortlessly build meaningful relationships with our patients. This role is hands-on, providing ample time for direct patient care and interaction.
Teamwork is crucial in our environment, and we value individuals who bring empathy, compassion, and exceptional interpersonal skills to the table. Effective communication, both with patients and fellow staff members, is a cornerstone of our care delivery.

Where You’ll Be Working
We encounter a wide range of respiratory illnesses, some of which includes COPD, Asthma, COVID and our specialized Complex Respiratory Failure service caters to patients requiring non-invasive ventilation.
We provide comprehensive training within the ward, making it an ideal learning environment for those looking to expand their knowledge and skills in respiratory care. There are opportunities for professional development via Respiratory workshops that are run throughout the year.

How to Apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible. * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care.
- Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace.
