Omega Medical are looking for hard working, driven and adventurous ED trained and experienced Registered Nurses. In this role you will travel and work at a rural or remote hospital for a several week-long contract. This allows you to experience new places, meet new people and learn new skills.

About us:
Omega Medical specializes in assisting employers to find the required staff to assist with their vacancies.
We take a hands-on approach when working with our nurses, assisting with the onboarding process and offering continuous communication throughout your contracts. Lucy will be your consultant and available to assist throughout the entire process.
Your duties:
- Assess and triage patients to direct their level care
- Use your clinical skills and critical thinking with patients who present with a variety of illnesses and trauma
- Receive patients from paramedics and take over care
- Refer patients to other departments
- Liaise with management and the multi disciplinary team
- Complete all necessary paperwork and documentation
- Promote a safe working environment for all patients and staff. Work within your scope of practice whilst referring to the code on conduct.
- Coordinate admissions and discharges and liaise with hospital management
Requirements:
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Masters/Bachelor of Nursing
- Advanced Life Support
- Triage training (ETEK)
- Experience in rural nursing and working in Emergency Department
- Knowledge/experience of eMR systems
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised
