Reconstructive Plastic Surgery Canberra (RPS Canberra) is a small private and growing clinic located at National Capital Private Hospital. We are looking for a part-time, experienced Registered Nurse to join our team and be the clinical support person for our post operative patients.
You will be joining a friendly, fun team that priorities patient care and provides exceptional outcomes in healthcare.
Position details:
- Part-time - 2 days per week.
- Availability to work from 8:30am to 5pm on the allocated days – no weekend work.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist surgeons with clinics, including minor procedures.
- Review all clinic post-operative assessments and wound dressings.
- Ensure accurate documentation is maintained after client assessments.
- Maintaining confidentiality and privacy of patient medical records.
- Entering patient information on Gentu.
- Screen referrals as necessary for timely appointment booking.
- Screening patient bookings ensuring patient information is accurate and up to date prior to clinic days
- Screening pathology reports to ensure appropriate results are flagged.
- Liaise closely with the Surgeons, Reception staff, Nurse, Practice Manager and Business Development Manager in the clinic.
Essential Criteria:
- Must be an Australian citizen or have an appropriate working visa.
- Must maintain annual AHRPA registration as Registered Nurse
- Experience with wound assessment and wound dressing.
- Ability to multitask, manage time and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong knowledge and application of customer service principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able and willing to work with a sense of urgency at times.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organised.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working in Perioperative environment.
- Experience with the Apple System and Gentu software.
Remuneration will be negotiated according to experience.
